The Art is in the Giving

Planning is underway to launch a Capital Campaign for the new Art Museum at Festival Park. The vision is driven by a compelling need in our community and the Museum’s ability to meet that need.

Plaza

What takes place before capital fundraising starts is the most important part of the work. Questioning, measuring, qualifying, verifying, listening to hard answers to hard questions, and weighing judgments expressed by area leaders. The Campaign ahead will be an organized, intensive fundraising effort to secure extraordinary pledges and gifts. It is a time of coming together to accomplish ambitious, strategic goals on behalf of the Museum.

As a result, the Museum will provide an enhanced environment for enjoyment, exploration, education and creative activities for future generations. We will be asking the public to help move this process forward in a meaningful way for the community.

We are hopeful that you will join us with your financial pledge and gift. Each of us should give the gift that best fits with our interest and financial situation. As we approach the beginning of this endeavor, please give thoughtful consideration about participating. You can take steps now to support the Museum in its readiness for the campaign ahead. Become a Member today. Your membership will keep you directly informed about our progress.

We welcome volunteers and can identify various ways that you can support this project. If you are interested in more information and want to learn how you can be a part of this vision, please contact the Museum of email meredith@fay-moa.org. The Art is in the Giving. Join us.

What You Can Expect of the Campaign Ahead

We will direct our attention to the entire community and our neighbors in North Carolina to consider a gift to the Capital Campaign. Giving Levels will range from $50 to $4,000,000. We are actively aware of state and federal opportunities. Support is anticipated from foundations and local businesses and corporations.

Because increasing the Museum’s Endowment is a high priority of the campaign, various instruments of planned giving (such as bequests, trusts, life insurance, real estate, stock, etc.,) not only will be accepted, but encouraged. For those interested in making a gift through planned giving, we will be pleased to work directly with the donor and their attorney. Additional information of the Museum’s established endowment fund with the Cumberland

Community Foundation can be shared with you at your request.

The Fayetteville Museum of Art shall offer donors the opportunity for named gifts that recognize support at various levels. Naming opportunities exist for the facility and various individual spaces within the new Museum such as the Art Library, the Reflecting Pool and the Terrace Café. Lead gifts for the facility and individual spaces may include naming the facility in honor of the donor. Gifts can also be named in honor of a family member, friend, or in memory of someone.
