Fayetteville Museum of Art offers Resource Training to introduce community teachers and day care providers to the FREE educational resources available for check out from the Museum. Bring your group to the Museum for a deluxe class, or schedule one at your own site for a more concise training.

Three programs available:

Introduction to Museum Resource
One hour overview of Museum resources.
1 credit hour

Museum Resource Training
One and a half hours of Museum resource overview and an introduction to integrating the items into lesson planning.
1.5 credit hour

Deluxe Resource Training
Bring your group to the Museum for resource introduction, lesson planning training, and sample hands-on art projects. Light refreshments served.
2 credit hours

ART TRUNKS

Art Trunks are a wonderful learning resource for all ages. Each trunk is available for checkout for two weeks. A free trunk training is required. These art-themed resource include artifacts, books, videos, CDS, etc. The following trunks are available at the Museum for checkout:

ART DUFFLES

In addition to Art Trunks, the Museum has developed smaller versions of the Art Trunks called Art Duffles. These thematic duffles are perfect for home or classroom. Training is not required to check out the duffles. Each duffle is available for a two week checkout. The following art duffles are available at the Museum for checkout:

DISCOVERY BAGS

Discovery Bags are designed for parent and toddler to explore toys, books, videos, age-appropriate artifacts from Art Trunks, etc., in the following themes: Color & Shape or Pattern & Texture.

Parent Kits
If classes and workshops are not enough, we have free Parent Kits and Discovery Bags available for checkout. Parent Kits have materials to create art with your child in the following themes: Glitter Crafts, Printmaking, Puppetry, Painting and Collage.

LIBRARY RESOURCES

The Fayetteville Museum of Art Resource Library is a free resource that anyone may use during regular business hours. Our library resources include a wonderful children’s book & Spanish section, as well as art activity books, art history books, extensive print collection, videos, slides, etc.
We also have two new resources that are available for checkout: Literature Kits and Read & Play Pouches.

READ & PLAY POUCHES

Read & Play Pouches are literacy tools for pre-K and K students. Each plastic carrying bag includes book(s) and a toy, puppet, stuffed animal, video or puzzle designed to encourage interest in reading or listening to the storybooks. Thirty themed pouches are available.
